Flynn said that the event brought in more than $6,000 - monies that are earmarked for their scholarship fund. She said visitors were awed by the gardens graciously opened for viewing from iconic harbor homes to those set in peaceful rural uplands along the Mattapoisett River Valley. The organization helps fund research efforts into children’s heart defects. “From my family and from the families you’re helping, thank you,” said Kelly Weglowski, who, along with husband, Marc, and daughter Jillian founded Healing Little Hearts in the midst of their son and brother Brady’s own battle. The Lions were collecting non-perishable food and unwrapped new toys to distribute to those in need during the holiday.
