Annual Christmas Fair206 views The Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Mattapoisett held its annual Christmas fair on Saturday, November 30. The sale featured an array of hand-made artisan goods from custom Christmas tree ornaments to fine baked goods. The fair also offered a big lunch menu for those who needed to take a break from holiday gift shopping. Check out these photos of some of the items that were for sale this weekend. New Year Plunge206 viewsOn January 1, 2013, Mattapoisett Town Beach played host to a New Year’s polar plunge fundraiser. The event, which attracted over 400 people, raised money to benefit BAM Foundation, Inc., a New Bedford non-profit which donates money to South Coast families dealing with members who have cancer. Holiday Party at Shipyard Park206 viewsThe community turned out for a wonderful late afternoon of lights, music, food and fun at the annual Holiday Party at Shipyard Park in Mattapoisett hosted by the Lions Club. The Lions were collecting non-perishable food and unwrapped new toys to distribute to those in need during the holiday.
