The Mattapoisett Land Trust’s annual tradition continues with help from the folks at Brownell Systems and their trusty crane. Mattapoisett Museum338 viewsThe Mattapoisett Museum opened its Summer 2019 exhibit on June 27 titled “Inspiration: Time & Texture.” Local artists, including members of Center School’s third grade class, created works of art inspired by objects in the museum or of historical significance to the town. 2011 Triathlon337 views240 athletes kicked off the Harbor Days week on July 10, 2011 with the Mattapoisett Lions Triathlon, which started from Mattapoisett Town Beach and included a .25-mile swim, a 10-mile bike ride and a 3-mile run. The mens winner for the Triathlon was Keith Putnam or Marston Mills, MA with a time of 52:52, and the womens winner was Katie McCully of Eastham, MA with a time of 58:51. Photo by Anne Kakley.

The Militia demonstrated 18th century living, made beef stew, completed drills, and talked about the dentistry methods of that time period. On Wednesday mornings, seniors have gathered at the bowling lanes in Mattapoisett for some conversation and friendly competition.
