Flag Day336 viewsCenter School students gathered together with Old Hammondtown students by the Center School flagpole on the morning of Tuesday, June 14, to celebrate Flag Day. The OHS band played a number of tunes, while the Center School students sang patriotic songs and listened to Principal Rose Bowman read a series of poems and writings to remind the children of what the American flag stands for. He graduated in 1994 from U.S. Military Academy and achieved successive ranks to become a full colonel in 2015. Overcast skies were welcomed but the July 4th heat was tough for the runners and the cheering crowds who begged for shade. Senior Bowling League335 viewsDue to lack of interest, Mattapoisett's senior bowling league is looking at disbanding. On Wednesday mornings, seniors have gathered at the bowling lanes in Mattapoisett for some conversation and friendly competition.
