Mattapoisett Tree Committee 339 viewsOn March 9, the Mattapoisett Tree Committee announced the winners of the annual 5th-grade Tree City USA Arbor Day Foundation contest, with this year’s poster theme: “Trees Have Mass Appeal”. The first place prize of a $35 gift certificate went to Amanda Tomasso, whose poster now goes on to the statewide competition. The $25 second place prize went to Sasha Volkema. Mattapoisett Recreation339 viewsMattapoisett Recreation was the recipient of a $1,000 donation from the Brad Barrows Memorial Bike Run Committee. Committee Chair Margie Barrows is pictured presenting the check. Donations provide aid to Tri-Town residents to participate in athletic programs. This year will be the 10th Memorial Bike Run.
