About 90 student volunteers helped pass out turkey dinners and raffle prizes, and cafeteria staff also volunteered their time to provide a delicious meal of thanks to area senior citizens. ORR Lockdown267 viewsORR was in lockdown on Thursday, April 14, after the Mattapoisett Police Department received a call pertaining to a gunman at the school. According to Captain Anthony Days of the Mattapoisett Police, an out-of-state call center alerted them of an Internet chat about a person with a gun at the school. Each fourth grade class represented a word comprising the C.A.R.E.S. acronym: Cooperation, Assertiveness, Responsibility, Empathy, and Self-Control.
