Tri-Town firefighters111 viewsThe holidays were challenging for Tri-Town firefighters. Marion and Rochester fire departments were among towns assisting Wareham after a mulch pile in a remote location off County Road caught fire on Christmas Eve. Firefighters worked in cold temperatures for eight hours, dispensing approximately 200,000 gallons of water to extinguish the fire. Little Free Diverse Library109 viewsIt's been a year since Tri-Town Against Racism’s first Little Free Diverse Library was installed at Ned's Point in Mattapoisett, and on May 12 TTAR members along with supporters gathered again to celebrate, this time the reopening of the little library that in November 2021 had been vandalized, destroying both the structure and the books it held. The ribbon was cut by Owen Excellent, and guest speaker Leon Correy spoke to overcoming struggles and the need for equity for all people.
