Marine Becket Kiernan304 viewsOn Friday, February 16, Class of 2017 ORR graduate and 18-year-old Marine Becket Kiernan was laid to rest at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. All of Old Rochester lined the side of Route 6 for a final farewell to Becket as Principal Mike Devoll stood solemnly as the procession passed beneath the giant U.S. flag suspended by two local ladder trucks. Tour de Crème304 viewsThis year’s 4th annual Tour de Crème raised $12,000 for outdoor recreation in Mattapoisett! There were 350 riders consuming over 1,200 scoops of ice cream all for a good cause. This new opportunity to read books featuring stories about people of diverse color and backgrounds comes as Tri-Town Against Racism has launched “Goodnight Tri-Town.” The new reading program invites adults and students to volunteer to record themselves reading from a diverse picture book of their choice for bedtime listening by preschool and early elementary school-aged children.
