Residents watched the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department’s Ken Ballinger demonstrate K-9 tactics, got a feel for SWAT, EMS, and Fire vehicles; and enjoyed pizza and ice cream. International Association of Lions Clubs President Barry J. Palmer of Berowra, NSW, Australia, was guest speaker and presenter of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award to six Mattapoisett Lions. This award, among the highest in Lionism, was earned by the recipients for outstanding dedication to Humanitarian Services within their community.
