Overcast skies were welcomed but the July 4th heat was tough for the runners and the cheering crowds who begged for shade. The field of runners was well over 1,000 and coming in first was Joe Farrand at 26:59. Shortly after, the first female to finish was Kim Bolick at 29:54. Mattapoisett Recreation's Seahorse Summer Explorer Program263 viewsMattapoisett Recreation's Seahorse Summer Explorer Program kicked off on Tuesday, June 26. The first week’s theme was “Sensational Science” and included a visit from Mad Science of Southern MA & RI. "The Flight Stuff" show was a favorite with multiple rocket launchings. Seahorse Explorers runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with extended care options available.
