Easter in Rochester33 viewsThere was no other place a kid in Rochester would rather be the day before Easter than in the fields at Plumb Corner. Well over a hundred children lined the two fields, ready to hunt the hundreds of colorful plastic Easter eggs filled with candy that lay in the grass before them. Photo by Jean Perry

Marion Natural History Museum 29 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum hosted their very first Earth Day Celebration on April 19, providing little ones with activities that focused on our planet and stimulated their senses. There was a make your own planet earth pinwheel table, a station to decorate your own “Earth cookie” with green and blue icing, a puppet show stage, and a boat load of Legos to play with while the sounds of croaking frogs and crickets played in the background. Rochester Council on Aging St. Patrick's Day Luncheon40 viewsThe folks at the Rochester Council on Aging never miss a holiday or a chance to gather together to celebrate. On Friday, March 14, the COA hosted an Irish luncheon, complete with, of course, corned beef and cabbage to mark the occasion. Irish or not, most donned their St. Paddy’s green and broke bread together with Selectman Naida Parker, who assisted in serving up lunch, along with COA Director Sharon Lally. At the COA, Irish eyes are always smiling… By Jean Perry
