Block Party!64 viewsIt was a little earlier than usual, but the annual Marion Block Party on August 28, 2010 went off without a hitch. Children enjoyed cotton candy, a bounce house and face-painting, while the grown-ups enjoyed conversation and good weather. It was an appropriate send-off to summer, before Old Rochester schools started back up on September 1. Photo by Felix Perez.

Helene Craver Retires160 viewsMarion Town Hall employees got together for a farewell party last week, in honor of 23-year employee Helene Craver. Ms. Craver’s last scheduled day was August 24. As the administrative assistant to the Board of Selectmen, Ms. Craver is a wealth of Marion information, but she is perhaps best known as the candy source at the Town House. The Wanderer wishes her all the best in her retirement. Photo courtesy of Judy Mooney.
