Church Donates Books748 viewsThe steering committee of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church recently made a donation of books to first graders of the Hayden-McFadden Elementary School in New Bedford. The members of the church sought to give the gift of a book to each child in a single class at the north-side New Bedford school in an effort to promote the school’s literacy program.

Relay for Life658 viewsThe third annual Relay For Life for the Tri-Town had their Kick-Off Meeting on Tuesday, February 13 at Old Rochester Regional High School in Mattapoisett. At the Kick-Off, Patti O’Hara, MSP Program Coordinator for Covanta/SEMASS in West Wareham (right) presented a sponsorship check for $5,000 to event Co-Chairman Bonnie Davidson (left). This is the first sponsorship secured for the tri-town event.
