Firefighters' Memorial128 viewsSecond graders at Rochester’s Memorial School took their annual walking field trip to the Firefighters’ Memorial to plant red geraniums. For the past six years, the young gardeners have planted before Memorial Day to give back to the community that has given so much to them. Armed with a variety of digging tools, watering cans, and a host of parent volunteers, these children enjoyed the work and appreciated the support of the Highway Department, Fire Department and Police Department. Blooming Bulbs326 viewsLast November, the second graders of Rochester Memorial School planted numerous daffodil, tulip, hyacinth and crocus bulbs. The bulbs were provided through a grant from the North American Flower Bulb Wholesales Association and they are now blooming! ORR Walk For Hunger155 viewsThe Old Rochester Regional High School Youth Council joined forces with the Church of the Pines and the Marion Congregational Church youth groups for the Walk for Hunger in Boston on May 6. This is the third year the group has walked as the Hunger Commission of Southeastern Massachusetts team.
