Children of the Corn159 viewsHopefully there won’t be any encounters with a creepy little kid named Malachai when people attempt to maneuver through the intricate corn maze at Cervelli’s Farm in Rochester which will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 25 and 26, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both days. The farm is located on the corner of Vaughan Hill Road and Route 105 in Rochester. It’s just one of many Halloween-themed events taking place in the tri-town area. (Photo by Kenneth J. Souza).

Planting Shellfish180 viewsStudents participating in the Marion Natural History Museum’s recent after-school planting shellfish program with Marion Shellfish Officer Isaac Perry plant seedlings to help repropogate the area’s natural resource. On Wednesday, October 1, the group took advantage of low tide to do some digging and help renew the town’s shellfish beds. Squaring Off195 viewsThe Reverend Robert Macfarlane of the First Congregational Church in Marion steps it up with his partner during the first of what promises to be a series of annual Square Dances held on Sunday, September 14. Originally planned to be held in the parking area adjacent to the Marion General Store, the inclement weather forced the venue indoors to the nearby Community Center. (Photo by Robert Chiarito).
